I have been a part of Girls Inc. Westchester since 2015. I originally attended Girls Inc.’s SmartTech camp, a camp to spark an interest in STEM in middle school girls. I’m currently a member of the Girls Leadership Council which is a county wide leadership program for high school girls. What I love about Girls Inc. Westchester is how I get to meet girls from many diverse backgrounds who share the same passions as I do. I have learned about many issues that people have faced in my community and how I can combat them. In March, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Girls Inc. National Lucheon in NYC, where the one and only Hillary R. Clinton was honored as the Champion for Girls! It was such an honor to listen to her give a speech in person! I also received the opportunity to present Erica Hill, an anchor for CNN’s Headline News Channel, with Girls Inc. Westchester’s Strong, Smart, and Bold Award during the Girls Inc. Westchester Gala this year! Check out some pictures from my experiences with Girls Inc. below!
